Certification Units are held by people certified to fit compliance plates to vehicles.

Search for Certification Units by entering search criteria in one or more of the filter fields or drop-down lists on the Certification Unit Search page.

For example - Search by the manufacturer's name and the Make-Model, to find certification units of the specified Make-Model that are manufactured by the specified manufacturer.

Search criteria are case insensitive. That is upper and lower case are treated as the same character. It is not necessary to fill in all the fields listed on the search page. More often than not, the best results are returned by simply completing the Make and Model fields.

Steps in finding a certification unit

• Manufacturer Name - Enter all or part of the manufacturer's name.
  Manufacturers that contain the character string that you enter will be included in the search results.
• Build Volume - Select a build volume from the drop-down list.
• Make - Enter a certification unit Make.
  Any Make that contains the character string that you enter will be included in the search results.
• Model - Enter a certification unit Model.
  Any Model that contains the character string that you enter will be included in the search results.
• Category - Select a category from the drop-down list.
• ID - Enter a certification unit number.
• Status - Select a status from the drop-down list.
• Year Range - Enter the start and/or end date for the make/model.
